Steelers Isaac Redman Turning Heads in Camp

At 6-foot and 230 pounds, Redman has been a training camp marvel with the way he has vultured in for goal line scores in team drills and his play against the Lions, to open the preseason, had to turn a few heads. The football spread on Reman making the team is better now then last year and if he keeps turning heads he will be a shoe-in.

Ben Sits, Leftwich Chokes, Dixon Shines in Preseason Opener.

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Detriot Lions opened the preseason with a bang, that bang being a one hour, 13 minute rain delay due to lightning filling the sky with flashes of brilliance. With 1:37 left in the second quarter both teams rushed toward the locker rooms for the early break.

Steelers rush to fix problem fix goal-line offense

By Ed Bouchette, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
Linebacker Larry Foote missed the Steelers’ two traditional live goal-line drills a year ago, missed the defense getting gouged for touchdown after touchdown.
“I heard about it,” Foote said firmly.
Isaac Redman, an undrafted rookie, scored five times on seven consecutive carries a year ago.

Another day, another top rookie lost to a hamstring injury, and starting running back Rashard Mendenhall joined the growing list of injured as well.

The Fall of Troy

This was not the season we hoped for our Steelers. There are some good things that happened. We ended on a three game win streak, but this was not been our season of steely resolve.

So you want to coach the Pittsburgh Steelers? Welcome to hell Mike Tomlin!

Crazy title I know but the meaning reigns true. I have been reading other blogs and Steelers news across the net today and the one theme I am finding after the Pittsburgh Steelers colossal collapes the last four weeks is that Mike Tomlin should be fired, that the team that has been one of the best the last 20 years should just panic and go against what makes them so great. Yup the view of a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Injuries catch up to Steelers in loss to the Ravens

I also see potential in Dennis Dixon, maybe not as a Steeler but he will start for someone down the road. If he can continue to grow he will make some nice trade bait near the end of his contract. Why not franny tag Willie Parkers and trade him as well? I don’t care if you only get a 4th rounder out of him. It is better then getting nothing.

Pittsburgh Steelers path to the AFCN title

It has already begun. The naysayers are all over the Pittsburgh Steelers calling it the end of times, while the cinderella hoppers are predicting the Cincinati Bengals to soon rule the world. One sweep in 10 years and the Bengals are now the team to beat in the AFC. The problem is, they are the Bengals and there is still a bunch of football left to play.

Steelers – Bengals Preview

The Steelers defense will be seeking redemption for its last performance against the Bengals. They failed to record a takeaway in that contest, and allowed 100 rushing yards for one of only two times this season.

Steelers back up Safety, Tyrone Carter, Joins Mile High Club

The Steelers (6-2) got to this point in large part because the defense scored the first touchdown of the game and shut down the Broncos in the second half when the outcome still hung in the balance.
