It seems that everything that could have gone did go wrong for the Pittsburgh Steelers this off-season. No Ben for four games, Santonio gone, Willie Colon gone and Leftwich out for the first two to four games. And on top of that our “Genius” coaches thought it was a swell idea to cut Stefan Logan who was our ground yardage leader last year with 1700+ yards and the dependable and intelligent Center Justin Hartwig.

Injuries catch up to Steelers in loss to the Ravens
November 30th, 2009
steelerguy26 I also see potential in Dennis Dixon, maybe not as a Steeler but he will start for someone down the road. If he can continue to grow he will make some nice trade bait near the end of his contract. Why not franny tag Willie Parkers and trade him as well? I don’t care if you only get a 4th rounder out of him. It is better then getting nothing.
King Troy returns as Stillers down Stains
October 19th, 2009
steelerguy26 The return of Troy Polamalu may have been the cure for what has been ailing the Pittsburgh Steelers defense. Since “King” Troy’s injury week one against the Titans, the defense has suffered an identity crisis. That was not the case week six though as the Cleveland Browns or better known around these parts, the Stains, came to town.
Chargers @ Steelers – Week 3 Match Ups.
September 30th, 2009
steelerguy26 After opening the season with a hard fought 13-10 overtime victory against the Tennessee Titans the Pittsburgh Steelers have given up back to back early leads to the Bears and Bengals and at 1-2 are at an impasse and possibly facing a must win game verse the San Diego Chargers this week.

Ben Roethlisberger, trying to shoot a fist-sized basketball into a garbage can in the Steelers’ locker room yesterday, stopped and popped at the top of the key, which happened to be within earshot of Hines Ward’s locker.
“One seventeen is the magic number!” Ward said, his tone slightly higher.
“For [...]

Wide receiver Limas Sweed did not practice for the second day in a row and will not play Sunday against the Chicago Bears in Soldier Field. Veteran Shaun McDonald, who did not dress for the season-opening victory against Tennessee, will serve as the No. 4 receiver. McDonald, though, [...]
Mission Accomplished – Preseason week 3
August 31st, 2009
steelerguy26 Before the game started though, I had some questions I hoped to get answered. All in all I am happy with the test results. Below is a list of the good, the bad and the ugly but most importantly the Steelers test results I had presented in my own head before the game started.
Woodley hopes for another ‘hit the wall’ season
August 27th, 2009
steelerguy26 PITTSBURGH (AP)—Flash back to the Super Bowl, and it may have seemed that the Steelers secured their sixth NFL championship when Santonio Holmes tiptoed along the sideline to catch Ben Roethlisberger’s last-minute touchdown pass, a dramatic ending to a score-or-lose Pittsburgh drive.
They hadn’t. Not then.
There was one more pivotal play to go—LaMarr Woodley’s sack of [...]
Training Camp – Day 3
August 3rd, 2009
steelerguy26 Today we will post excerts from around the net from those who observed Day 3 of the Pittsburgh Steelers traing camp with their own eyes. Unfortunatly I live 100 miles away and have a day job and can not make it there myself as much as I would like. I will be live August 15th though and have a report myself then. But until then, enjoy what others have to say about the Steelers.
Madden 10 – Behind the Scenes with the Steelers
May 30th, 2009
steelerguy26 The premise of the shoot revolves around an EA SPORTS gamer controlling the Pittsburgh Steelers to victory in a game of Madden NFL. Along with the players, about 200 extras were brought in as fans of both the Steelers and the Cardinals, referees, and even coaches to re-create the celebration. From a touchdown celebration to the trophy presentation, even the player’s couldn’t help but feel a little nostalgic of the event. The only thing missing was the champagne.
